Hey, there's a new political scandal happening involving the republican party and a well known pornographer! Well, to be fair, it's not happening anymore. It actually just stopped happening a little while ago, but hey, it could always happen again, right? Let me explain.
Here on the east coast (which is clearly the better of the two coasts, despite what the residents of that other coast would have you believe), we have a state called New Jersey. It's best known for it's fresh peaches, delicious tomatoes and mega-awesome rock group Bon Jovi. In addition to those hits, Jersey also has it's own politicians, some of whom are constantly bugging the public for money, like three members of the GOP who are currently running for office, Chris Del Borrello, Giancarlo D’Orazio and Daniel Morley. As many of you know, asking for money is a common tactic of these cash-grubbing greed-hogs, so much so that they have a special link on their website entitled "donate". The idea is that when you click on the 'donate" button, you get to give away your money to some asshole who in turn gets to tell you what to do. Fucking democracy.
Only, get this! For a week or so, instead of getting sent to an area of their site where you could give your money away, folks were instead redirected to a bitch-ass awesome porno site, featuring beloved porn superstar Shy Love! Now, personally, I'd much rather click on links that lead me to sites where I can watch hot Latin babes fuck dudes than to sites where I have to empty my pockets to dickheads, but I guess some folks don't agree with me, because this caused quite the hubbub.
We are looking into the situation,” said Randy Ford, campaign manager for the 'publicans in question. “We’re trying to figure out how this happened. The important thing is we have remedied the site and we are working to ensure something like that doesn’t happen again."
He also added that, while he himself built the site in question, he would never, ever purposely add a link to a porn site and that he thinks porn should be outlawed and anybody who watches it or writes about it should be flogged and, in some cases, shot.
Actually, he never said that last part about people who enjoy porn. I just added that to spice this thing up a bit. He did, however, apparently accuse a local Democratic leader named Jill McCrea, who is in no way related to John McCrea, illustrator of the utterly-fantastic DC comics series Hitman (as far as we know). She also, as far as we know, claims to have no involvement whatsoever in what the Jersey press has begun calling...ugh..."Donorgate", and is quite offended that anybody would suggest such a thing.
“To suggest myself or anybody aligned with me would do such a thing, which is criminal, it’s ridiculous,” McCrea said, suggesting that porn should be outlawed and anybody who watches it or writes about it should be flogged and, in some cases, shot (again, not real).
We're guessing that the most obvious explanation was that Ford, while working on the site, probably got stoned and took a break to whack off to some Shy Love porn. At one point, he probably meant to copy and paste the URL and e-mail it to his private e-mail address so he could whack off more when he got home, perhaps onto a ham or a watermelon or something (I just think the idea of cumming on food is hilarious). Then, since he was stoned, he probably accidentally copied the wrong address into the code for his own site, thus causing a scandal. It could've happened to anyone.
Anyway, if you head to their site now - wtfreshstart.com - the link has been fixed and just leads to a plain old money pit. But if you really want to whack off to Shy Love, you can do that here, here or here.
If you do head over to their site to donate, make sure you tell them that you were referred by a porno site.
