Continuing to deprive the viewing public of being able to mock his midget-penis, attorneys for Verne Troyer, a.k.a. Mini-Me, are seeking even more protection against the release of a sex tape he made with his full-sized ex girlfriend.

On Friday, U.S. District Judge Philip S. Gutierrez granted Troyer and SugarDVD (Remember? The media sluts...) another week to negotiate before holding a hearing on whether the tape can be sold or released. Troyer maintains he has never wanted the tape released and initially said the tape had been stolen from him and in a lawsuit also named TMZ.com as a defendant. However, TMZ produced a statement from Troyer's ex-Ranae Shrider, that she took the tape and authorized a portion of it for release through the site. Troyer sued SugarDVD, porn broker Kevin Blatt and TMZ.com for $20 million last month seeking to have the tape blocked.

Why this news report is so interesting is that it reminds us of when we tried to cast "Little Fuckers," our all-dwarf porn film in Philadelphia a couple years ago. None of the little people who responded to our "Dwarves/Little People: Men and women needed to star in film," ad in City Paper, seemed to like the fact it was to be a porno. Neither did the Little Peoples Association of America, at which one executive accused us of trying to exploit little people. We were appalled at the suggestion. One guy who answered our ad said his credentials included lots of stage work and the Men Without Hats video for "The Safety Dance." He was polite, but totally disinterested when told his thespian experience would not be needed in this picture, only the ability to pound midget muff on camera. Sadly, there were no takers, but fortunately there's always Bridget the Midget.
