Gus Van Sant's first feature film thrusts us headfirst into the unyielding obsession one man has with a handsome Mexican illegal immigrant. Told in an almost dreamlike fashion, this delicious morsel showcases Van Sant's immense talent for storytelling.

Reasons to Buy

  1. One of the best gay films ever made on allusiveness of obsessive sexual attraction.

  3. Tidbit: TLA had the Philly premiere in 1985 and booked it directly through Van Sant but we accidentally destroyed the 16mm print. Gus, it's been over 25 years, please forgive us!

This director guy creeps me out. Mala Noche especially creeped me out. There's a point where you wonder how much is too much. I'd say it's a good dvd for someone who wants to watch something challenging with lots of boy butt.
