Cheeky!: Special Edition

There can be no doubt that Tinto Brass is the consummate 'assman.' Just take the aptly-titled Cheeky! which is nothing if not a celebration of one woman's amazing booty. That woman, Yuliya Mayarchuk, plays Carla - an incredibly beautiful (and sweetly dim) girl whose endearing disregard for pants...or panties for that matter (she's allergic, you see)...makes her quite a hit when she arrives In London. Blessed with what could be one of the finest bodies ever to grace the screen and an ass that is beyond compare (sorry Ms. Lopez), Miss Mayarchuk is a wonder to behold. She flaunts her fabulous bare bottom half (if not her entire beautiful bod) for the bulk of Cheeky!, getting into one sexual encounter after another and doing it all with an innocent (almost ) charm. Still, the Director's Cut is by far superior, not only in content but also for maintaining its original Italian language (with English subtitles). The English dub can be fairly annoying, especially Carla's grating high-pitched voice that serves to make her character even more cartoonish. Shot beautifully, Cheeky! is great to look at, and there is enough of a story to at least keep ones attention in the few brief scenes that Carla and her textbook tush isn't in - and that's all you can ask for in a quirky little film from the 'assman' himself.
