Miles Long

Miles Long ® (born November 4, 1968) entered the adult film industry in 1999. Between 1999 and 2005, he worked primarily as an actor. Starting in 2003 he moved behind the camera and began working as a director, assistant director, cinematographer, cameraman and still photographer working for Jill Kelly Productions and Ninn Worx. His later work for New Sensations, Third Degree Films, Zero Tolerance, Bang.com, CE Cash, LegalPorno, BangBros, POV Mania, and Little Dragon Pictures has garnered numerous accolades, 92 Award Nominations, 13 awards, his induction into 5 Halls of Fame (AVN, XRCO, Urban X, NightMoves and The Australian Adult Industry Awards) as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award, one of only a few Industry Members to achieve these distinctions.

Long's first scene was for Northern Sights with his then-wife, Shay Sights. He also worked with Jenna Haze in her first major adult film release in Joey Silvera's Service Animals 4. Long moved behind the camera in 2003, starting as an assistant director for Jill Kelly Productions. He then began working as a cameraman and director of photography for Michael Ninn. In 2005 he became the head of production for X-Worx. His first release Muff garnered an AVN Award nomination for Best All-Girl Series in 2006. In 2006 he began working as a director for New Sensations where he received AVN Award nominations for Best Director and Best All Sex Film in 2007 for Addicted Again; as well as nominations in 2008 for Best All Sex Release, Best High End All Sex Release and Best High Definition Release. In 2008 he began to direct for Third Degree Films and Zero Tolerance Entertainment, where he would win his first AVN Award in 2009 for Best MILF Release for The Cougar Club in the inaugural year for that award category and the first of his titles to hit #1 on the sales charts. He won an additional AVN Award in 2010 for Best All-Sex Series for Addicted. In 2011 he was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame, received a 2011 Urban X Award for Best Couples Scene and appeared in LIFE magazine. In 2012 he won an additional AVN Award for Best Foot Fetish/Leg Release for Nylons 8, participated in the first ever live broadcast for AVN.com for the Virtual AEE show along with Tanya Tate and Julia Ann and was inducted into both the Urban X Awards Hall of Fame and XRCO Hall of Fame. Starting in 2012, he began appearing on Playboy and Sirius Radio regularly and had his photos appear on billboard ads for different Gentlemen's Clubs. In January 2013, he shot a mainstream billboard ad campaign for the event he hosted along with at TABU Ultra Lounge in the MGM Grand Las Vegas during the 2013 AVN Awards weekend.

Long branched out into mainstream TV in 2007 as the Director of Photography of the television series Untold Stories: Strip Club Confessions (2007), and starting in 2008 he began to make a name for himself as a Photographer, with his photos and layouts appearing in mainstream and men's magazines worldwide. He is the industry's only Steadicam owner/operator and has shot a wide variety of subject matter, including SWAT team competitions, Ultimate Fighting events, music videos, motorcycle stunts and television shows. He has had covers and layouts appear in the mainstream magazines & newspapers "FHM", "Maxim", "Playboy", "Got Curves", "Vegas SEVEN", "USA Today", "Yahoo News", "Biz Woman", "The Telegraph", "Business Insider", "Daily Mirror", "The Sun", "Daily Star", "Daily Mail", "Disrupt Magazine", "California Herald", "International Business Times", "The Week", "Deadline News" and American Magazines "Adult Video News", "Barely Legal", "Cheri", "Club", "Club Confidential", "Club Extreme", "Club Explicit", "Club International", "Finally Legal", "Fox", "Gallery", "Genesis", "Gent", "Hawk", "High Society", "Hustler", "MILFs in Heat", "Nightmoves", "Spicy Latinas", "Velvet", "XBIZ" and "Xcitement" as well as UK magazines "Fiesta" and "Ravers DVD" and French magazine "Hot Video". Also of note, in 2011 he trademarked his stage name and successfully litigated against companies enforcing both his Trademark and Copyrights numerous times.

Starting in 2011 he began shooting billboard ad campaigns for Gentlemen's Clubs in the Los Angeles area featuring well known stars such as Chanel Preston & Lexi Belle. In January 2013, he shot the billboard ad campaign for the event he hosted along with Gracie Glam & Kendall Karson at TABU Ultra Lounge in the MGM Grand Las Vegas during the 2013 AVN Awards weekend. It was the first time a photographer from Adult was able to shoot inside the MGM property and the event and his shoot were covered by mainstream press including the Las Vegas Sun and Las Vegas Weekly. In 2018 he shot the national Perfume Ad Campaign for the Stormy Daniels' "Truth" perfume line. 2019 was an especially notable year, as he was recognized by his peers with 7 consecutive 2019 Best Director Nominations, from AVN, XRCO, XBIZ, Urban X Awards, Night Moves, Phoenix Forum and has also Won the 2019 IAFD Best Web Director - Web.

In 2013 he returned to performing and began to work on his own POV series after the success of his online POV website. As a testament to his strengths as a Performer and Director, in 2018 and 2019, he was nominated by AVN for Best Oral Movie for POV Mania 9 and POV Mania 12, and in 2019 he was nominated for 7 Best Director nominations in a row by AVN, XRCO, XBIZ, Urban X, Phoenix Forum and NightMoves, as well as winning the 2019 IAFD Best Web Director and 2019 NightMoves Triple Play Awards.

In June of 2021 he appeared on "This Morning" with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield and talked about his career, the adult film business and his personal life. The interview and its related topics were covered by Newspapers and News Sites in the UK, Ireland and US including The Daily Mail, The Daily Mirror, The Sun, The Irish Mirror, The Birmingham Mail, LADBible, and several radio stations. In addition he was interviewed by both Lisa Ann and Christy Canyon on Vivid Radio on Sirius XM, and began writing monthly interviews and articles for Nightmoves Magazine. In July 2022 his career reached another milestone, with 3 Covers and Centerfolds appearing in FHM Magazines Australia, France and South Africa editions; 4 Covers and Layouts in Playboy Magazine Denmark and Africa editions and 3 Playboy Features in the Australia, South Africa, and Denmark editions. He also began shooting his TV Show Modz and Bodz, a car show featuring his model friends and himself working on cars together, followed by an interview and photoshoot with the project car and the model. The Show appears on the Lingerie Fighting Championship Network on ROKU, and has been spotlighted internationally in the LA Weekly, the International Business Times, The WEEK and Deadline News.
